Christmas in Idaho

We headed up to Idaho for Christmas and New Years this year. We left on Christmas day since the restaurant is pretty busy up until then, and it was a long snowy drive. But we made it there safely and got to celebrate Christmas (a little late) with my whole family. This was extra special because my dad has accepted a job up in Pullman Washington and my parents will be moving up there. So it's probably going to be a while before we're all together again. It was beautiful when we first got there. There was plenty of snow, but it melted in a couple of days. I didn't get any pictures with the snow, but here are some pictures from the trip.

These are the 5 Truax grandkids. Micah, Josiah, Ashlyn, Jasmine, and Joshua

Ok, time for a silly picture! Thanks Micah!

These boys had more fun on the stairway than you could imagine

My grandma loves the babies, and she was so great while we were there. She just loved taking care of Joshua. Thanks Grandma!

This year we decided to do something different, and instead of exchanging gifts (with the adults) we decided to make a stepping stone for Papa's yard filled with stones that bear our names and a verse which applies to this year (2008) of our lives. This is Josiah's stone, it says Eph. 6:1 Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Here is Nathan putting in the stones. I didn't get a picture of it completed since we did this the night we were leaving, but I think it will be a fun tradition and give us something to reflect on over the years.
