Today we took the boys and their cousin Micah out to Anacapa Island

When we got to the island this is the stairway you have to climb to get to the top of the island

It was a beautiful time to go, all the wild flowers are in bloom
There's also a lighthouse on the island

These next three pictures I took with the boys basically standing in the same spot while I moved around themand took pictures. It's beautiful any way you look.
After seeing the lighthouse we headed for the other side of the island

On the way back out we got a good look at some of the great rock formations on the side of the island

On the way back to Ventura we were very fortunate to see a huge pod of dolphins. It was very exciting for the boys, but difficult to capture on camera. So I don't have a picture. But it was quite an experience, there must have been 1000 dolphins out there. They were completely surrounding the boat jumping up out of the water.
By the time we got back to Ventura everyone was tuckered out!
Daddy and Josh were both sleeping!
What a fun day!

aww...we did that same trip a few years ago for Father's Day. Loved it, we keep saying we're going to visit the other islands, but haven't gone yet.
